Prompt for 300 word Ellis response: Violence and Fiction

Warren Ellis argues that we need violent stories today. He says that “the most horrible things in the world…have to be interrogated.” In a 300 word response on our blog, write why or why not you agree with his statement and his argument. Use AT LEAST three quotes besides the one above from his essay to support your argument. Introduce the quote, analyze it, and agree/disagree with evidence. You can link your discussion to DMZ if you like, but it is not necessary.

Make sure you reference any works you use (including the Ellis) in proper MLA format.

Post your response on our blog by class time on Tuesday, October 8. Give it a title, sign off, choose tags, and put it in the “Ellis Response” category.
